Mitch Katz, MD
Director of Health, City and County of San Francisco

Mitchell Katz, MD has been the Director of Health for the City and County of San Francisco for eleven years.  Prior to becoming Director, he served the Department in several capacities including Director of the AIDS Office and Director of the Emergency Medical Services Agency.  He is also Professor of Medicine, Epidemiology, and Biostatistics at the University of California, San Francisco.  He continues to practice medicine as a primary care doctor at San Francisco General Hospital.
