At the 6th Annual Primary Care Summit, hosted by the Connecticut Center for Primary Care on November 21, 2013, CHC's Chief Quality Officer, Dr. Daren Anderson, was presented with the Primary Care Leadership Award for his exemplary leadership in quality improvement in primary care.

11/19/13 State Senator Danté Bartolomeo Reads Aloud to Young Children at Community Health Center, Inc. – Meriden in Support of Reach Out and Read
Healthcare providers at CHC Meriden are sending families home from checkups with free books and a very important prescription - “read aloud to your children.” Today, State Senator Danté Bartolomeo (D-Meriden) visited the health center, not only to cheer them on, but to practice what doctors preach by reading to a group of young patients.

CHC Meriden Race for Mental Health

Come run the 2nd annual CHC Meriden Race for Mental Health! This year's race will feature a kids fun run, health walk, 5k and 10k. All races take place at Hubbard Park in Meriden and are on routes that will be closed to auto traffic. The 10k will run up to Castle Craig and back, so be prepared for a challenging course with spectacular views! All proceeds will go to the United Way to mental healthcare.

Registration is $20 for the 5k and health walk, and $40 for the 10k now until April 18th; after that date the rates increase to $25 and $45. All races registered before 4/18/14 will receive a technical race shirt (cotton for those who register after that date).
