Susan Birch is the Executive Director of Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Birch has served the Northwest Colorado VNA for the past 14 years, where she has been instrumental in expanding programs, developing strategic partnerships and strengthening operations.
Prior to moving to Northwest Colorado, she served as Nursing Supervisor for Kaiser Permanente in Colorado and also held nursing roles at the Georgetown University Hospital. Currently, she is member of the 14th Judicial District Nominations Commission, Caring for Colorado Foundation Community Advisory Committee, Home Care Association of Colorado, Colorado Association of Local Public Health Leaders and the Colorado Public Health Nurses Association.
She is a recipient of the New County Nurse of the Year award from the Colorado County Nurses Association.
