Behavioral Health Services

The Behavioral Health programs of the Community Health Center help to build a healthy mind in a healthy body by providing group, family, and individual treatment to all ages throughout Connecticut. In our licensed clinic sites, in schools, in homeless and domestic violence shelters—wherever our clients are—our integrated care model brings together our behavioral health team and primary care providers to assist our clients in meeting their mental health and medical needs. Our team of psychologists, social workers, marriage and family therapists, drug and alcohol counselors, psychiatrists and psychiatric APRNs bring compassionate, effective, efficient, culturally sensitive care to our clients and partner with professional training programs to teach the next generation of providers how to provide behavioral health care in a primary care setting. We offer specialized programs in trauma focused care for children and partner with the Department of Children and Families and the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services to provide community based care to families at risk of abuse and neglect mentally ill homeless people.
