Community Health Center, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization which provides quality care and affordable medical, dental, mental health and social services. Founded in 1972, CHC has offices in Middletown, Old Saybrook, Meriden, New Britain, New London, Norwalk, Stamford, Groton and Clinton, operates Domestic Violence Valley Shore Services in Westbrook.

All services are offered on a sliding fee scale, meaning payment according to one’s income level and family size. No one is ever denied care for lack of economic means. With a volume of over 200,000 patient visits per year, CHC is a major provider of health care to low-income persons in central and southeastern Connecticut.

CHC accepts Medicaid, Medicare, Medicaid Managed Care, private insurance and HMOs as well as uninsured patients.
