Behavioral Health

Behavioral Health for individuals, families, and groups

CHC Behavioral Health programs provide treatment for people of all ages throughout Connecticut.

We deliver these programs through licensed clinical sites, in schools, in homeless and domestic violence shelters, and wherever our clients are in need.

Integrated behavioral and medical health teams

The CHC integrated care model brings together our behavioral health team and primary care providers to assist our clients.

The behavioral health team includes psychologists, social workers, marriage and family therapists, drug and alcohol counselors, psychiatrists, and psychiatric APRNs.

Together, they bring compassionate, effective, efficient, culturally sensitive care to our clients. They also partner with professional training programs to teach the next generation of providers how to provide behavioral healthcare in a primary care setting.

Dealing with trauma as a subspecialty

We offer specialized programs in helping patients deal with trauma.

This aspect of our work involves partnerships with the Department of Children and Families and the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. With them, we provide community based care to families at risk of abuse and neglect, as well as mentally ill homeless people.
