Volunteering as a COVID vaccinator is a big commitment of time, energy and talent—thank you very much for considering helping CHC in this role.
Please fully review this page before deciding if you are able to commit to this volunteer position.
There are two groups of eligible COVID vaccinators.
The Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) recently issued an order expanding the professionals that can administer the vaccine — read it here. Please read this order carefully to determine if you are in the group of healthcare professionals already allowed to give vaccinations.
If you are in the group of individuals newly authorized to give COVID vaccinations after completing specific additional training, you must complete that training and provide a certificate of proof in order to volunteer as a vaccinator at CHC.
CHC requires ALL vaccinators, whether employee or volunteer, to complete specific CDC trainings on vaccines in general, and the Pfizer vaccine specifically. After completing each one, you must take the post-test, evaluate the course, and download a certificate of successful completion. These trainings will take approximately 2-3 hours.
