Ho-Choong Chang, MD Joins CHC as Chief of Pediatrics

Community Health Center, Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Ho-Choong Chang, MD as Chief of Pediatrics. Dr. Chang will be based at Connecticut Pediatrics @ CHC, 76 New Britain Ave., Hartford, and will direct CHC’s pediatric practice statewide in Connecticut. He is Board Certified in General Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics and licensed in Connecticut, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Dr. Chang brings a distinguished background in pediatrics. Since 2002, he has been in private practice in Northfield, NJ as General Pediatrician and Partner at Tender Care Pediatrics, PC. Previous experience includes serving as a pediatric hospitalist for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia at Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point, NJ. He graduated magna cum laude with a BS in Psychobiology from Yale University and received his MD from The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He performed his residency in pediatrics at Seattle Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center, University of Washington, where he was assistant chief resident.

Named one of Philadelphia Magazine’s Top Doctors, Pediatrics in 2018 and 2019, outside of his practice Dr. Chang is a Fifth Degree/Master Black Belt, International Tang Soo Do Organization, and has won numerous awards for Taekwondo at the state and national levels. Before pursuing his medical education, he joined Teach for America as an eighth grade science teacher in Brooklyn, NY.
