STAMFORD, CT — The city is partnering with Community Health Center to open an additional coronavirus testing site at Scalzi Park in Stamford this week.

This testing site will be available to residents beginning Monday, city officials said in a news release.

“This additional testing site will give our residents more options to get tested for [the virus] as the second wave continues to spread in our region, our state and in Stamford,” Mayor David Martin said in a statement. “Community Health Center has done a phenomenal job at the Fifth Street location in Stamford, and I have full confidence they will do good for our community with this additional testing site at Scalzi Park.”

The new testing site will be operated by Community Health Center. Scalzi Park will remain open to residents while the testing site is operational, officials said.

Testing is available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Further information can be found at www.chc1.com.

All testing sites available in Stamford can be found by visiting www.stamfordct.gov/covid19 or by subscribing to the city’s newsletter.

City officials also remind residents to continue to follow all recommended health and safety guidelines, including limiting contact with individuals outside their household, maintaining six feet of distance from others outside their household, wearing a mask and washing hands frequently.
