Community Health Center, Inc. Opens New COVID-19 Testing Site at Norwalk Community College on Tuesday, December 29

Community Health Center, Inc. (CHC) is expanding its COVID-19 testing capacity in Norwalk by adding a new site at Norwalk Community College (NCC), opening December 29. Norwalk will now have two testing locations, with both NCC and the existing location at Veterans Park open 7-days per week, 8:30am – 4:00pm.

An increasing number of COVID-19 positive cases in Connecticut has resulted in greater demand for testing. CHC is pleased to accommodate more people in Norwalk, as well as at sites in Stamford and locations throughout Connecticut. Testing is free, is offered on a drive-in or walk-up basis, and does not require an appointment. People receiving tests do not need to be showing symptoms, and may return for repeat testing as needed.

For access to the NCC testing site, traveling from Connecticut Ave., enter the West Campus north-end lot, which is the second driveway off of Richards Ave. (181 Richards Ave., Norwalk).

DeVonish, J.D., CEO of Norwalk Community College. “Norwalk Community College remains committed to supporting efforts that ensure all members of our community have access to critical resources, including reliable and convenient testing.”

Demand for testing remains high and it’s critically important for people to get tested to help slow the spread of this virus,” commented Norwalk Mayor Harry W. Rilling. “Having COVID-19 testing available seven days per week at Veteran’s Park, and now Norwalk Community College, greatly increases access for residents. I am thankful for the providers and staff who are working tirelessly to provide testing for our community.”
