Helping people get affordable medications was high on the list. CHC took a federal program (the 340B Drug Pricing Program), available to health centers but little-used in CT, and made it readily accessible by co-locating a pharmacy in its CHC of Meriden site. CHC brought the national Walgreens Corporation into the program. CHC now has partnerships with Walgreens, other national chains, and independent pharmacies across the state.
