Catarina Lally, PsyD
Catarina Lally, PsyD, is a licensed clinical psychologist and Behavioral Health Director at two community-based clinics in Bristol and Waterbury. In this role, she provides clinical leadership to integrated care teams and co-leads the health psychology track for the organization’s postdoctoral training program. Dr. Lally completed her training in health psychology through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and holds a certificate in Primary Care Mental Health Integration, also from the VA. Her clinical expertise lies at the intersection of physical and mental health, with specializations in chronic pain, insomnia, weight management, and psychological support for individuals preparing for or recovering from bariatric surgery.
Originally from Portugal, Dr. Lally earned her master’s degree in psychology in Lisbon before completing her doctorate in clinical psychology at the University of Hartford. She offers services in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
Dr. Lally has devoted her career to working with underserved communities, including individuals involved in the criminal justice system. She brings this commitment to her current practice at Community Health Center, Inc., and has previously served as a correctional therapist with the Connecticut Department of Corrections.
In addition to her clinical and leadership roles, Dr. Lally serves as an adjunct faculty member in the graduate psychology program at the University of New Haven. Her research interests include the various social determinants of health impacting immigrant and Spanish and Portuguese-speaking patients. Dr. Lally is also a current postdoctoral resident supervisor.
