Resident Experience

About the Resident Program

Program begins September 3, 2024 and continues through August 31, 2025.

The residency is a 12 month, 40 hour work week, full-time salaried position. The stipend is $60,000 for the year.

Residents are expected to be at CHC five days per week, at least one evening per week (late hours differ by clinic, but are no later than 7 p.m.) and a minimum of up to one Saturday per month (typical hours 8:30a.m to 12:00p.m.) to meet the needs of our working clients.

Resident experience will include:

• Supervision (individual and group)
• Weekly didactic sessions
• Outpatient clinical treatment in the primary care clinic (32 hours)
• Training seminars and supervision (8 hours)
• Exposure to specialized settings, including shelter-based and school-based work, are available at most sites and may be required.
• Training in the use of eClinical Works, CHC’s integrated electronic health record, which allows access to clients’ medical, behavioral health and dental records.
• Participation in Project ECHO^TM, which is specialty support for primary care providers seeking to gain expertise in the management of certain complex illnesses and conditions
• Necessary supervised clinical experience to qualify to sit for the EPPP and CT state exam for psychology licensure.
