Community Health Center, Inc. is on the road to support and improve maternal health in a rural portion of Connecticut. Our first of its kind, state-of-the-art Mobile Health Unit (MHU) brings critical services to women long without adequate access to maternal health care.
The MHU will reduce barriers to prenatal, postpartum, and reproductive care, bringing skilled clinicians, essential equipment, and services directly to communities where access to OB/GYN care has been limited due to geography and population size.
Services offered by the maternal MHU include: prenatal checkups and screenings; family planning; STI testing and counseling; and postpartum care. Click here for more information and a current schedule.
