Mpox Vaccine

The Connecticut State Department of Public Health has provided CHC with a limited number of doses of the JYNNEOS vaccine for Mpox. Per the State of Connecticut, CHC can administer the Mpox vaccine to high-risk individuals at our sites in Clinton, Danbury, Enfield, Middletown, New London, Stamford (Fifth St.) and Waterbury.

Who can receive a Mpox vaccine at a CHC main site?
Individuals identified as high-risk by the State of Connecticut.

Who is considered high-risk per the State of Connecticut?
Patients who live in CT (including persons stationed and resident students/trainees at colleges/universities/vocational programs in CT) AND

  • People who engage in sex with multiple partners, anonymous partners, or participate in group sex; OR
  • People whose partners engage in sex with multiple partners, anonymous partners, or participate in group sex; OR
  • People who engage in transactional sex (including sex in exchange for money, food, shelter or other goods); OR
  • People who know or suspect that they have been exposed to mpox in the last 14 days; OR
  • Anyone else who considers themselves to be at risk for mpox through sex or other intimate contact.

Are non-CHC patients eligible?
Yes, if deemed eligible per screening questions.
