Family Wellness Healthy Start

Program Background

The Family Wellness Healthy Start program was funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration, through the Connecticut Department of Public Health, to reduce infant mortality and poor birth outcomes in Hartford and New Britain.

Data show that while Connecticut performs better in perinatal health and birth outcomes, certain areas and populations see worse outcomes.
