Even before the first case of COVID was reported in the United States, CHC staff were tracking the spread of the disease overseas. On May 24, the State of Connecticut asked CHC to begin conducting COVID-19 testing. Tests were free and available to all ages without an appointment. By December 2020, as demand increased, CHC was operating 18 testing drive-through locations across the state, 7 days a week.
