Employee Spotlight

Donna Hoggard, M.S.W., R.N.—Behavioral Health Clinician

  • Donna earned her B.A. Psychology from Yale University and her B.S. in Nursing from Columbia University.
  • She spent her post-college years working as a Peace Corps volunteer in Liberia, West Africa.
  • After a rewarding career primarily in maternal child health, Donna joined CHC as a Prenatal RN/Case Manager in 1994.
  • After many successful years as Case Manager, Donna’s passion for social work called to her and she returned to school at the University of Connecticut to obtain her M.S.W.
  • She then joined one of CHC’s School-Based Health Centers as a Behavioral Health Clinician.
  • Donna is passionate about providing services to families and children who would not otherwise be able to access primary health services.

Dan Wilensky, M.D.—Physician

  • Dr. Wilensky grew up in Brooklyn, New York. 
  • After completing his undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Virginia in 1992, he completed his residency at the University of Connecticut, Department of Family Medicine. 
  • He is Board-Certified in Family Medicine.
  • Dr. Wilensky’s career has been focused on the underserved, with over a decade of practice in Community Health Centers. 
  • He has been a part of CHC since 2003, spending several years as the Medical Director of the Meriden site.

Sheela Tummala, D.D.S., M.P.H.—Chief Dental Officer

  • Dr. Tummala joined CHC in 2006 as a General Dentist and Currently serves as the Chief Dental Officer.
  • Prior to joining CHC Dr. Tummala completed her D.D.S. at New York University and her General Practice Residency at Jamaica Hospital in Queens, N.Y.
  • She also completed her M.P.H. at the University of Western Kentucky.
  • Dr. Tummala is glad to participate in the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment program offered to clinicians working at CHC.
  • Her favorite part of providing dental services to CHC patients is “hearing thank you ten times from almost every patient.”
